According to Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press, newly hired coach Mel Tucker will not be retaining any of former Head Coach Mark Dantonio’s staff.
Report: MSU football coach Mel Tucker to remove all of Dantonio's staff
This news comes after three of Dantonio’s assistants announced that they would be leaving the program. Head Strength and Condition Coach Ken Mannie announced via Twitter that he would be retiring early Thursday morning.
Two of Dantonio’s assistants took new jobs as defensive line coach Ron Burton took the same position at Indiana University and Terrence Samuel left his job as defensive backs coach to be the new passing game coordinator and wide receivers' coach at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Tucker will have a $6 million budget to hire his assistants per his contract, and one of his targets is reportedly Vince Marrow, the recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach at the University of Kentucky.
