The East Lansing Police Department concluded its investigation of the reported sexual assault at Phi Gamma Delta, or FIJI, turning the case over to the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office.
"Generally, they will make a charging decision based on the information that we've presented them initially," said ELPD Deputy Chief Steve Gonzalez. "Sometimes they'll send it back to the detective with a few further follow-up questions that the prosecutor may have."
Sororities continue to forgo social events with Phi Gamma Delta, though the fraternity member in question has been suspended according to a statement by Phi Gamma Delta's spokesperson.
Charging decisions can be expected within the next two to four weeks, said Gonzalez.
