Former Dean of Michigan State's College of Osteopathic Medicine William Strampel's trial began today at Veteran's Memorial Courthouse in Lansing with opening statements and witness testimony.
Strampel was ex-MSU and USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar's boss. He faces four charges, including two felonies. His most recent charge was second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
His two misdemeanors stem from his possible knowledge of Nassar's sexual abuse, while his felonies stem from his own alleged sexual misconduct.
MSU coworkers and students have testified in the past that Strampel sexually harassed and assaulted them.
Here's some of the live Twitter coverage of the first day of Strampel's trial.
