After Michigan State defeating Duke 68-67 Sunday night making it to the Final Four, Cassius Winston has been named as part of the First Team All-American by the Associated Press.
With an average of 18. 9points and 7.6 assists, Winston continues to lead the Spartans to the Final Four this Saturday against Texas Tech.
Along with being on the All-American Team, Winston has received high appraisal from MSU coach Tom Izzo. The veteran coach stated that he can see Winston following in former Spartans Mateen Cleaves and Magic Johnson's footsteps.
"I think (Cassius) has done enough to put himself in the same footprint as those guys," Izzo said during Tuesday's press conference.
In this three years in the green and white, Winston had started in every game in his collegiate career and tallies 1395 points.
The first team also consists of Duke's Zion Williamson, Tennessee's Grant Williams, Duke's RJ Barrett and Murray State's Ja Morant.
