Sanford signs with Kalamazoo Wings

Michigan State and East Lansing native senior forward Brennan Sanford signed with the Kalamazoo Wings after his four-year career with the Spartans. Sanford had a successful career at MSU after being named an assistant captain in his last two seasons as well as tallying 17 goals and 19 assists for 36 points in 138 career games with the team.

Sanford had four goals and five assists for nine points in 36 games this season. As a junior, he was an AHCA All-American Scholar, as well as a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar. Sanford was voted the winner of the program's Amo Bessone Award for athletic and academic achievement, as well as community participation.

The Kalamazoo Wings will play the Toledo Walleye Friday night, and Sanford is expected to play wearing No. 6.
