Adam Young, a 22-year-old from Laingsburg, Michigan was driving an MSU salt truck Jan. 15, when he collided with 21-year-old student Tiana Seville. The collision happened just before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Shaw Lane and Chestnut Road.
Young is an MSU staff member who works in the Infrastructure and Planning Facilities department as a landscape services equipment operator.
If Young is convicted, the maximum punishment he will face is up to a year in prison and a potential fine of $2,000.
MSU spokeswoman Emily Guerrant deferred to the MSU Police for a comment, who were unavailable for a comment at the time of publication.
