After falling to No. 20 Rutgers, 62-76 on Jan. 20, the Spartans dropped six spots in the latest AP polls coming in at No. 23.

The Spartans will host Illinois, who lost to Iowa 75-94 on Jan. 20, and is looking to uphold the perfect 10-0 home record.

The Spartans are lead by senior center Jenna Allen and junior guard Taryn McCutcheon, shooting 53.2 percent from the field and 43.4 percent from behind the arch respectively.

The Fighting Illini are lead by senior forward Alex Wittinger, shooting 54.3 percent from the field and junior forward Ali Andrews, shooting 45.1 percent behind the arch.

The Spartans starters have remained consistent across the season and look to have the same five on court; Allen, McCutcheon, freshman guard Nia Clouden, junior guard Shay Colley and redshirt junior forward Victoria Gaines.

Illinois will start Wittinger and junior guard Brani Beasley and most likely add redshirt junior guard Cierra Rice, Andrews and junior guard Courtney Joens to the lineup.
