Woman shoots herself on campus shooting range, MSU Police say

A woman shot herself on campus according to a Michigan State University Police Facebook post.

MSUPD received information via the Ingham Regional 911 Center that a woman suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the Demmer Center, 4830 E. Jolly Road.

According to the post, East Lansing Fire Department medics transported her to the hospital. Individuals on the scene offered immediate first aid, before medics arrived. Her condition is unknown.

The post says the incident is under investigation with no ongoing threat to the community and it does not say where on her body the woman shot herself.
