Junior guard Cassius Winston (5) blows by Purdue's Nojel Eastern at Mackey Arena on Jan. 27, 2019. The Spartans fell to the Boilermakers, 73-63.
Winston averaged 20 points, 7.3 assists, 3.3 rebounds and shot 47.1 percent from beyond the arc in the No. 6 Spartans’ three games last week, two of which came against ranked opponents, last Monday against then-No. 13 Maryland and Thursday against then-No. 19 Iowa.
This is Winston’s fourth Big Ten Player of the Week award and his second in consecutive weeks.
With four awards in one season, Winston joins Joins Draymond Green (2011-12) and Denzel Valentine (2015-16) as the only other Spartans to accomplish that feat.
