With Michigan State football (7-5, 5-4 in Big Ten) awaiting its bowl placement, which will be announced Sunday, here's where news outlets have the Spartans playing as of Tuesday morning:

Kyle Bonagura, ESPN: TaxSlayer Gator Bowl (7:30 p.m., Dec. 31 on ESPN) vs. No. 24 Missouri (8-4, 4-4 in SEC) at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida.

Mitch Sherman, ESPN: Quick Lane Bowl (5:15 p.m., Dec. 26 on ESPN) vs. Boston College (7-5, 4-4 in ACC) at Ford Field.

Jerry Palm, CBS Sports: Outback Bowl (Noon, Jan. 1 on ESPN2) vs. No. 19 Texas A&M (8-4, 5-3 in SEC) at Raymond Jones Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

Stewart Mandel, The Athletic: Redbox Bowl (3 p.m., Dec. 31 on FOX) vs. California (7-4, 4-4 in Pac-12)  at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Sports Illustrated: Outback Bowl vs. No. 10 LSU (9-3, 5-3 in SEC).

Bleacher Report: Redbox Bowl vs. Stanford (7-4, 5-3 in Pac-12).

NBC Sports: Redbox Bowl vs. Stanford.
