The Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers will take to Breslin at 7 p.m. on Oct. 12 for a preseason game, according to the Cavs website. This will be the first-ever game the Cavs play at Breslin.
The Gilbert Pavilion, named after MSU alumnus and Cavs majority owner Dan Gilbert, opened on Oct. 20, 2017 along with the Tom Izzo Hall of History.
Gilbert and his wife, Jennifer Gilbert, helped fund the project through private donations, according to the Cavs website. Pistons owner Tom Gores is also an MSU alumnus.
"The Breslin Center features Gilbert Pavilion, a grand entrance to the facility that honors the success and history of both the men’s and women’s basketball programs," the Cavs said on their website.
