In celebration of Pride Month, Michigan Pride 2018 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 16 in Old Town Lansing, with various events throughout the day.
Turner Street will be filled with vendors, food and entertainment. The purchase of a $10 wristband onsite allows for all-day access to this year’s schedule of events.
The day will begin with a March to the Capital, or Pride Parade, at 12 p.m. The route will start at Adado Riverfront Park and end on the steps of the Lansing Capitol building. The parade will be immediately followed by a rally featuring local artists performances and various speakers, including Mayor of Lansing Andy Schor.
Michigan native Emma Sapphire is scheduled to perform in the Drag Show at 2 p.m., along with other performers.
StarFarm, an 80’s pop/rock band based in East Lansing, will perform at 6 p.m. and end the days festivities.
