March Madness brings all types of fans, celebrities and public figures to fill out brackets in hopes of winning prizes and bragging rights.
One of these people is former President Barack Obama, and he has the Spartans cutting down the nets in San Antonio in early April.
The 44th president of the United States has MSU winning the national championship by passing No. 2 seed Duke in the Sweet 16 and No. 1 seed Kansas in the Elite Eight. Obama also has MSU head coach Tom Izzo's squad beating No. 1 seed Villanova in the Final Four and the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament, Virginia, in the national championship game.
The Spartans will play their first game of March Madness against No. 14 seed Bucknell Friday at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit with tipoff scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
There will be an open practice at LCA Thursday from 3:25 p.m. to 4:05 p.m. Admission into the practice is free.
