This is a weekly series in which The State News asks seven questions to a MSU ice hockey player. Questions range from the player's favorite hockey moment in their career so far to what their go-to pump up song is.

This week's player is freshman forward Jake Smith. The East Amherst, New York native has three points (two goals and one assist) in 23 games.

The Spartans have this weekend off and will be back in action next Friday at Ohio State, with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m.
