At the end of his last sentencing hearing, ex-MSU doctor Larry Nassar remained expressionless as his sentence was read.
“I’ve just signed your death warrant,” Judge Rosemarie Aquilina said.

On the seventh and final day of his sentencing, ex-MSU doctor Larry Nassar was sentenced to a maximum of 175 years in prison, a sentence of 40 years on each of his seven charges. This is the maximum sentence under Nassar’s guilty plea.
The hearing saw statements from three more survivors, bringing the total to 156.
Nassar’s justice began and ended with Rachael Denhollander, the outspoken survivor who first publicly came forward with her abuse in an IndyStar investigative report in summer 2016. Denhollander addressed Nassar for the last time at the hearing, giving the last victim statement.
