National Signing Day wasn't early-February like most years, but it came and went by nonetheless for MSU. And there was no drama, as all 20 expected recruits signed with the Spartans.
The Letter of Intents came rolling in from twins Zachary and Jacob Slade around 15 minutes after the 7 a.m. start. In other duo news around the team, Michael Dowell, twins Andrew and David Dowell's brother, signed his Letter of Intent, upping the Dowell counter to three for the Spartans.
And joining the gunslinger room is quarterback Theo Day, a Canton, Michigan, native. Day is a composite four-star ranked player, according to 247Sports.
As the ink dried around the Midwest and nation of this recruiting class, it was rounded out by Jacob Isaia. His addition was announced via Twitter he signed to lock in the 20 Spartan targets.
With two signing periods now – this earlier signing period lasting until Friday – college football's landscape has changed. The Spartans will look to add more to their Class of 2018 in the coming months.
But first — a bowl game, and a top-25 matchup at that against Washington State. The Spartans are expected to leave for San Diego, California on Dec. 22.
