Men's soccer moves up to No. 6 in the nation
DeJuan Jones winning Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and being named to College Soccer News team of the week, wasn't the only thing in the news for the men's soccer team this week.
The men's soccer team moved up from No. 13 in the nation, to No. 6 in the nation according to the United Soccer Coaches poll.
The Spartan get the bump up in the rankings after improving to 5-0 on the season, beating Cleveland State 1-0 on Labor Day and Big Ten opponent, Rutgers in Piscataway, New Jersey, 2-1.
The Spartans will face off against the Falcons of Bowling Green State University on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m., under the lights of DeMartin Stadium. The Falcons are currently ranked No. 19 in the nation and are going into the game, 5-0, with all five wins being shutouts.
After Wednesday night, MSU will travel to Ann Arbor to face of against the No. 18 University of Michigan Wolverines on Sunday. That game will kick off at noon, and will air on BTN.
