Freshman guard/forward Miles Bridges (22) and freshman forward Cassius Winston (5) share a moment during the first half of men's basketball game against the University of Wisconsin on Feb. 26, 2017 at Breslin Center. The Spartans defeated the Badgers, 84-74.

Along with 15 other teams, MSU will be competing in an early-season men's basketball tournament honoring Nike co-founder Phil Knight.

The event has been dubbed the PK80 - Phil Knight Invitational and will celebrate the 2012 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee's 80th birthday. The Spartans will take on Georgetown in the first round at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon as one of four games in the "Victory" bracket.

Games will take place at the Moda Center and the Veterans Memorial Coliseum — also in Portland — from Nov. 23-26. The tournament will feature "the best collection of college basketball teams in one event, at a single site, in the history of the sport," according to the event's website.

Other teams participating in the event include last season's National Title winner, North Carolina, runner-up Gonzaga and Final Four participant Oregon. Portland, Arkansas, Oklahoma, UConn, Duke, Portland State, Butler, Texas, Florida, Stanford and Ohio State will also compete in the tourney.

Along with MSU and Georgetown, the "Victory"  bracket will showcase Arkansas, UConn, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon and Portland. Butler, Duke, Florida, Gonzaga, OSU, Portland State, Stanford and Texas will be in the "Motion" bracket.

MSU would play either UConn or Oregon on the second day at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in either the winner's or loser's bracket.

The Spartans also released some of their non-conference schedule over Twitter Wednesday.

MSU will play Duke on Nov. 14 in Chicago, Southern Utah on Dec. 9, Oakland University on Dec. 16 at Little Caesar's Arena in Detroit and Long Beach State on Dec. 21.
