MSU Salsa Club welcomes dancers for lessons

April 17, 2017
The MSU Salsa Club reaches out to dancers of all skill levels for salsa lessons and open dance time.

The MSU Salsa Club offers students, alumni and other community members free salsa dance lessons every week.

“We would definitely like more people to find out about (the club),” Salsa Club dance instructor Bryan Grochowski said. “Actually, I’ve had some people get upset because they learned about it a few months before they were graduating or moving back to their city.”

The university provides the club with a room on campus each year and anyone can attend meetings.

“You just show up with energy and a good pair of shoes,” club president Michelle Garcia said.

The beginning part of the class is a step-by-step lesson for beginners and intermediate dancers. The later half of the class is an open dance that is open to anyone.

Classes are currently held in room G-28 of Holden Hall. The semester’s remaining class is on April 19.
