ELPD releases further details regarding attempted bank robbery

The East Lansing Police Department is continuing its investigation into an attempted bank robbery on Thursday at the Bank of America near the corner of Lake Lansing Road and Coolidge Road, according to a press release.

According to the press release, "The suspect entered the business and approached a teller indicating he was in possession of an explosive; no device was seen."

The suspect did not receive any money and he left the scene on foot. ELPD attempted a K-9 track, but it was unsuccessful. No one was injured.

"The suspect is described as a white male of an unknown age with a skinny build. He was last seen wearing sunglasses and a white-and-blue Detroit Lions (football) hat. The suspect was also missing two bottom front teeth," the press release reads.
