MSU police report two instances of theft and an assault

MSU police are reporting two incidents of larceny and an incident of felonious assault which all occurred within the past week.

The first incident of larceny occurred around noon on April 11 at Spartan Stadium where an employee noticed MSU signs missing. The signs were placed on top of kiosks and were green and white with the words Michigan State on them. They are valued at $1000. Anyone with information is asked to contact MSUPD Det. James Terrill.

The second incident of larceny was reported on April 8 but occurred between april 5 and April 6 at IM Sports-West. MSU police made contact with the victim who said he had left his backpack in a locker and when he returned it was gone. The value of the backpack and its belongings which included a Macbook Pro are estimated to be around $2,000. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. James Terrill.



Assault

On April 10, MSU police reported an assault near IM Sports-Circle, on the river trail behind the building between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m. MSUPD Capt. Doug Monette said this case is still under investigation and the suspect is still at large. The suspect is described as a white male, 5 foot 8 inches tall. Anyone with information is asked to contact MSU police at 517-355-2221.
