Interfraternity Council to hold concert with proceeds going to Flint

MSU Interfraternity Council announced a Students Give Back Concert will take place April 15 at The Summit Sports and Ice Complex in Dimondale, MI.

Galantis, a Swedish electronic music duo, will serve as the headliner for the event. Two other performers are yet to be announced.

The goal is to raise between $35,000 and $40,000 for the children affected by the Flint water crisis. The money will be raised mainly through ticket sales and greek life fundraising, management junior Jenna Saplala said.

This concert also aims to bring students at MSU together, mathematics junior Stanley Lassen said.

"This is more than just a concert," Lassen said. "We want to try and eliminate the negative stigma that greek life has."

Both Lassen and Saplala said they are opportunistic this will become an annual event.

Tickets are currently on sale at ticketfly.com. Attendees must be at least 18 years old to get into the concert.

According to the the website, ticket prices range between $30 and $40 and doors will open at 6 p.m. with the event beginning at 8 p.m. and ending at midnight.
