MSU's State of Fifths, a co-ed a cappella group founded in 2008, will open up for Vocalosity at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cobb Great Hall in the Wharton Center. The group was chosen through a public vote with 97.5 NOW FM. The group performed its rendition of "Waiting on the World to Change" for the contest.
State of Fifths will perform a five-minute set before Vocalosity takes the stage.
Vocalosity comes from Deke Sharon, vocal producer for Universal Studios' "Pitch Perfect" and "Pitch Perfect 2."
Vocalosity includes 12 performers and explores styles from Gregorian chant to contemporary Top 40 hits.
Tickets are $28 for general admission and $15 for MSU students.
