Students de-stress at REHS 'Treat Yo Self' event

December 4, 2015

With pre-finals stress becoming more overwhelming to many students, Residence Education and Housing Services and the residence assistants in Wonders Hall put together their annual "Treat Yo Self: Pre-Finals Destressor Event" last night.

The event compromised of Rent-a-Pet, grocery bingo, stress ball making, massages, a Zumba class, and a parfait bar.

Additionally, representatives from Wonderbodies and the Health and Nutrition Association were there to talk about exercise and dietary choices. Each component aimed to teach students about staying healthy during finals in spite of stress.

Rent-a-Pet was the most popular aspect of the event, with the dozens of students in line down the hall for the entirety of the event.

Students donated $3 for five minutes with a pet or $5 for ten minutes. Donations went to the Capital Area Humane Society
