Here are the police incident reports for Oct. 14 after meeting with MSU police Sgt. Danial Munford and Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor.
Police respond to burglary, marijuana possession
Burglary
Between late Oct. 11 and early Oct. 12, a 17-year-old male student in West Akers Hall reported $500 stolen from his wallet which was in his room. There was no sign of forced entry and the case is under investigation.
Attempted fraud
Following a larger trend reported by the MSU police of fraud involving the transfer of a large amount of money, a 19-year-old female student reported a suspicious call occurring at 10:37 a.m. on Oct. 13. She said she received a call claiming that she owed money to Sparrow Hospital. She did not transfer any money and reported the incident an hour later.
Breaking and entering
A 39-year-old female and a 25-year-old female at Spartan Village Apartments reported a possible breaking and entering. One left the door unlocked and left the apartment and upon returning the front door was open. She reported the doors inside the apartment being left open and upon returning said they were all closed. The report noted a lot of wind that day so a large gust of wind could have forced the door open. Nothing was reported stolen and there are no suspects.
Possession of marijuana
On Oct. 13 at 6:15 p.m., a 20-year-old female student at Phillips Hall was arrested for the possession of two grams of suspected marijuana. She was reported by a Residence Assistant. She was the only one cited in the room and the case was forwarded to the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office.
