In ranking from QS Top Universities, MSU is number six in the world for communication and media studies. 

MSU also changed the name of its fight song this week from "MSU Fight Song" to "Victory for MSU." 

John Madden, director of the Spartan Marching Band, said the purpose of the change was to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the song. 

The Spartan Marching Band, MSU Dance Team and others will also be in attendance of the annual Homecoming parade taking place at 6 p.m. 

At noon on Saturday, number two ranked MSU will take on Purdue — marking the first Big Ten game of the season.
