Abbot Road between Burcham Drive and Saginaw Street reopened Monday after a two-week long closure due to roadwork construction, according to an East Lansing police statement.
The construction began June 28, and the full closure began July 20. A prior release stated the construction was needed for the replacement of an entire cross section.
The end of the construction should reduce traffic on the guided detour routes which covered the north end of the project Saginaw Street to Alton Road, south on Alton Road to Burcham Drive and west on Burcham Drive to Abbot Road.
