Ex-Buckeye transferring to MSU, will walk-on to football team

July 29, 2015

Former Ohio State wide receiver Frank Epitropoulos confirmed today via twitter that he is transferring to Michigan State and will walk on to the football team.

Epitropoulos was a three-star recruit for the Buckeyes back in 2012. The 6-foot-1, 206 pound wide receiver redshirted his freshman year and only appeared in four games as a redshirt freshman, recording one catch for six yards.

Epitropoulos had an offer from the Spartans back in 2012 before deciding to commit to Ohio State, and will now will be reunited with former high school teammate Chris Frey. The two played together at Upper Arlington High School in Upper Arlington, Ohio.

Last summer Epitropoulos made the decision to leave the Buckeye football program to focus on his pre-med academics. According to his father via cleveland.com, Epitropoulos will continue his pre-med education at Michigan State.
