Dantonio to speak at Big Ten Media Days opening

The Big Ten Football Media Days will be hosted in Chicago on Thursday and Friday, July 30 and 31, and will include a Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon at the McCormick Place Convention Center on Friday, which is open to the public with limited seats still available for purchase, according to a Spartan Athletics press release.

The luncheon will include an autograph session with head coaches at 10 a.m. CT and a chance to ask selected players live questions on-site and via social media, according to the release. At 11 a.m. CT, coaches and players will be available for photo sessions and at 11:30 a.m. CT the luncheon will begin, according to the release. The annual luncheon is attended each year by some of the most popular names in college football, including past visits by legendary coaches and every Big Ten Heisman Trophy winner since 1970, according to the release. Fans interested in purchasing tickets can contact Eddie Thiebe at (847) 696-1010 extension No. 164, according to the release, and the price is $110 per seat.

Coach Mark Dantonio will speak at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday and fifth-year seniors Jack Allen, Shilique Calhoun and Connor Cook will represent the Spartans on Big Ten Network Live from 3 to 7p.m. ET on both days, according to the release. The full 13 hours of coverage will be aired on BTN and BTN2Go.
