Graduation for the MSU class of 2015 is only a few short weeks away, and the pressure is on for every one of them to get out and make the most of their post-graduation plans.
International students are among those graduating in a few weeks, and for them, the decision between moving back home for work or staying in the U.S. is something they have to consider.
Computer science alumnus Kang-One Suh, born in China, has already landed a job on campus and sees no reason to return to his home country.
“I’m currently working right now for the university, and I plan on staying in America for a while at this point.” Suh said. “Being at Michigan State in my undergrad was an absolutely phenomenal experience, and I just want to enjoy my time here at the moment.”
Marketing junior Shuquan Luo, born in China, said even after three years at MSU, he can’t stop thinking about his home country.
“My plans for after Michigan State involve lots and lots of work,” Luo said with a laugh. “But I’m honestly not sure where I want to go.
“I’ve been here for three years and I know that a lot of students from different countries, but I’m leaning more towards returning back to China after I graduate. I love Michigan State, but I feel that it’s just nicer to be closer to friends and family,” he said.
