Dorm room invasions continue

December 4, 2014

Another dorm room invasion occurred on Nov. 21, this time in East McDonel Hall. An 18-year-old female student left her dorm room unlocked all day, and came back to find $100 missing from her desk. Police have no suspects.

A visitor to the university left her car unlocked in Lot 79 on Nov. 22, and she returned to find her wallet missing. The victim, a 45-year-old Farmington, Michigan, native, reported her wallet, worth $25, and $10 in cash missing. Credit cards in the wallet were later used at a local store. Police have no suspects.

Third degree criminal sexual conduct

On Nov. 1, a female student reported being sexually assaulted in her dorm room in Phillips Hall. After going to a party, the victim did not remember exactly how she got home, but realized she had been sexually assaulted by an acquaintance, a 20-year-old male student. Because of the nature of the crime, MSU Police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said she could not divulge more details.
