The men’s basketball team added another player to its 2015 recruiting class today.
Matthew McQuaid, a shooting guard from Duncanville, Texas, committed to MSU. The news was first reported by Scout.com.

The 6’5” 175 pound guard took an official visit to MSU over the weekend, which was his second on campus visit in the last two months.
McQuaid is a rated as a four-star recruit by ESPN.com and the 65th best player in the 2015 class.
McQuaid is considered one of the best shooters in his class, he averaged a little over 12 points per game as a junior at Duncanville High School.
He originally committed to Southern Methodist in the spring but later changed his mind in July. The shooting guard also received offers from Texas, Gonzaga and Oklahoma.
McQuaid joins five-star forward and Muskegon, Mich. native Deyonta Davis and three-star guard Kyle Ahrens as part of the 2015 class. West Virginia transfer guard Eron Harris will also be eligible to play during the 2015-16 season.
