"I would say I have opened up the recruiting process again, and de-committed from Michigan State, and just trying to enjoy the recruiting process and high school," Campbell said. 

Campbell was sentenced to 60 days in jail on May 30 for an assault on a Cass Tech security guard on Jan. 28, according to previous media reports.

Cass Tech Securitas security guard Robert Donovic sustained several injuries as a result of the attack, and Campbell will serve 15 months probation, complete 700 hours of community service and will be responsible for Donovic’s remaining medical expenses as part of his plea deal. 

"If I could apologize 100 times I would," Campbell said to WXYZ. 

Campbell gave a verbal commitment to MSU in August 2013, but his MSU status was widely questioned following the Jan. 28 incident. 

NCAA rules prevent MSU from commenting about Campbell due to his status as an unsigned recruit. 

According to the WXYZ report, Cincinnati, Miami (OH), and LSU are now targets for Campbell. 

"I've learned from this situation, I've moved on from it, I would definitely say everybody deserves a second chance," Campbell said.
