The four-star point guard, ranked the 61st best player in the nation by Rivals, is the first commitment for head coach Tom Izzo’s 2014 class. Nairn is heralded as one of the quickest and speediest guards in the nation, and could possibly crack the starting lineup his freshman year. The 5-foot-11 guard would battle junior Travis Trice for minutes throughout the year, or team together to give the backcourt a quick presence.
With point guard recruits Tyler Ulis committing to Kentucky and Tyus Jones likely spurning MSU, Nairn was most sought-after MSU target to date.
The Bahamas native turned down Oklahoma, Indiana and Minnesota to become a Spartan.
