Co-owners of the Spartan Sports Network, Will Tieman and Wendy Hart, became Michigan Broadcasting Hall of Fame inductees last week — and are the first duo to receive this honor.
Combined, the two have served more than 60 years in the broadcast industry and have won numerous honors for their work — Tieman for announcing work as the voice of Michigan State Basketball for 15 seasons and Hart for her award-winning writing and producing.
The Spartan Sports Network, or SSN, has become the most listened to college sports network in the state of Michigan.
Aside from their work with SSN, Tieman and Hart own three commercial radio stations in Michigan: WMPA-FM, Ferrysburg, WGHN-AM and WGHN-FM, Grand Haven.
They have also produced the national radio network for the Motor City Bowl/Little Caesars Pizza Bowl for 16 seasons.
Tieman and Hart’s partnership has produced and created over 40 nationally and regionally syndicated radio and television series.
