?As of 2:45 p.m., the flooding of the Red Cedar River has reached 7.69 feet, the highest since February 2001, said Jim Maczko, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids.
?Mackzo said flooding usually occurs at 7 feet, where minor flooding occurs, reaching the low lying areas around the river. More flooding is expected at 8 feet.
??It should start to level out, he said, “We’re not expecting it to get to 8 feet.”
??The highest the Red Cedar has reached was 13.4 feet, back in March 1904. The lowest was 2.91 feet, according to Maczko.
