Officials not enforcing parking restrictions in city lots, structures on St. Paddy's Day

March 15, 2013

To prevent residents and students from taking a risk and driving drunk, East Lansing Parking and Code Enforcement, or PACE, will not be enforcing overnight parking restrictions in any downtown parking lots or structures on St. Patrick’s Day.

With free parking allowed on Sundays already, people will be allowed to keep their cars on-site until 9 a.m., March 18, without having to pay any type of fee.

Overnight street parking, however, will still be enforced.
