After guiding the Spartans to a 7-2 win over Michigan, MSU hockey (4-5-1 overall, 3-3-0 CCHA) sophomore forward Matt Berry was awarded with CCHA Offensive Player of the Week.
He is the first MSU player to earn a CCHA weekly honor this season.

In Saturday’s victory, Berry earned his first collegiate hat trick, with two goals in the first period and one in the second. His first goal of the night came only 34 seconds into the game.
He also assisted on freshman forward Matt DeBlouw’s goal in the third.
Berry currently leads MSU with 11 points — six goals, five assists — in 10 games played. Additionally, he is second on the team in shots on goal with 32.
Berry is fifth in the CCHA in points and is tied for second in goals.
