MSU came out flat against the Buckeyes, getting trounced 45-7 at home and dropping the Spartans to 6-2. After the game, then-senior running back Javon Ringer said the Spartans could dwell for 24 hours, “but then after that, all our attention is on Michigan.” MSU would go on to beat U-M in The Big House for the first time since 1990 by a score of 35-21.
