Poston recommended as new dean of College of Agriculture and Natural Resources

October 23, 2012

MSU vice president for finance and operations Fred Poston has been recommended as the new dean of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, university officials announced today.

Poston has served as the vice president for finance and operations since 1999. The move will be effective Jan. 1, 2013, if approved by the MSU Board of Trustees at its meeting on Oct. 26.

Poston served as the dean of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources for eight years prior to being named vice president for finance and operations. He will replace Douglas Buhler, who has been the interim dean since Jan. 2011.

“I have the utmost confidence in (Fred Poston),” MSU Trustee Mitch Lyons said. “I think he has the passion and desire (for this job).”
