MSU police are investigating a backpack theft from Bessey Hall on Oct. 6.
An MSU student reported her backpack stolen sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The victim left her bag in the hallway during an exam.
When the victim returned to the hallway after her exam, her purple North Face backpack, valued at $200, was gone.
The backpack contained a blue and silver Boost Mobile cell phone valued at $200 in a black floral case, a key, her LSAT book valued at $200 and a green and white hooded zip-up rain coat valued at $55.
The case is under investigation, McGlothian-Taylor said.
