Charles Atkin, professor and chair in the Department of Communication for the College of Communication Arts and Sciences, died in his sleep Sunday. There will be a memorial service at 4 p.m. on Aug. 26 in room 147 of the Communication Arts and Sciences Building.
On Saturday at about 3 a.m., a 26-year-old male from Ishpeming, Mich., was arrested after throwing a brick through a window on the south side of University Village Apartments, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The man who threw the brick through the window valued at $400 was not an MSU student, McGlothian-Taylor said.
