James Lackey, 43, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by MSU police Officer Chris Rozman for Lackey’s involvement in several campus thefts, MSU police Sgt. Jill Geile said.
Geile could not confirm what type of thefts Lackey is connected to, but according to the MSU Police Department’s Facebook page, he was involved with several wallet and purse thefts from offices on campus.
Lackey has been arrested in the past for involvement with similar activities, most notably in 2003 when he physically assaulted a police officer who was investigating a string of thefts from campus buildings.
No further information on Lackey or his arrest immediately was available as of Tuesday evening.
