Members of ASMSU’s General Assembly wrapped up this year’s session on Thursday night with a heartfelt meeting.
As they passed a gavel around the room, the representatives spoke about their experiences with ASMSU and plans for the future.
ASMSU Chairman Steve Marino said he felt this was the best year the assembly has ever had, especially after overcoming hardships from last year.
The ASMSU officers also encouraged representatives to continue voting in this week’s election, which has been open since Monday and closes 8 a.m. next Monday.
The group is aiming for 10 percent undergraduate student turnout in the elections.
Marino said although no official numbers are available yet, he feels ASMSU has had increased visibility this year compared to previous elections.
