Students can join others from 7:30-10 p.m. Friday in Erickson Hall Kiva for the Night of Hope, an event to discuss depression, its effects and how to help those who are struggling with it.

Depression affects about 121 million people around the world, according to the World Health Organization, and the purpose of the event is to raise awareness about the issue.

Students attending the event are encouraged to spread the word and share stories of depression and hope.
