A two-car accident occurred at 5:11 p.m. Nov. 10 near the roundabout at the intersection of Shaw Lane and Bogue Street, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
One driver, a 19-year-old female from Farmington Hills, Mich., said as she approached the roundabout she used her turn signal and changed lanes while driving west down Shaw Lane, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The woman yielded to allow pedestrians to cross the street.
The second driver, a 21-year-old East Lansing male, was in the lane the woman switched over to but failed to yield and struck the back of the woman’s car.
A citation was issued to the man for hazardous action, and the damage to both cars was minimal.
