A 55-year-old university employee reported a malicious destruction of property at the Music Practice Building between 10 p.m. Oct. 28 and 7:15 a.m. Oct. 29, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
A window on a door located on the building’s west side allegedly was broken with a five-gallon bucket of salt, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The bucket of salt was near the door, which led the man to believe it was used to inflict the damage. A nearby wooden planter also was broken. The cost to repair the glass is estimated at $200, and the planter is valued at $35.
There are no suspects, and the incident is under investigation.
