Observatory offers telescope viewing

October 31, 2011

From 9-11 p.m. this Friday and Saturday, the MSU Observatory, located at the corner of Forest and College roads, will open its doors to the public for a free viewing of MSU’s 0.6 meter telescope.

The telescope will be set up to view select astronomical objects and smaller telescopes will be in the parking lot with MSU astronomers available to answer questions.

The MSU Physics and Astronomy Department, Abrams Planetarium and the Capital Area Astronomy Club co-sponsor Public Observing Nights at MSU Observatory.

This observation marks the last public observation of the year.
