The FBI issued a report cautioning residents of a possible fugitive in the East Lansing area.
Luis Colon, a 28-year-old male from Pennsylvania, had a bench warrant issued for his arrest from a New Jersey court after he skipped bail Sept. 22 and still is at large.
The report cautioned Colon is known to carry a firearm and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Colon was arrested for his involvement in a credit card fraud scheme between 2009 and 2010, in which he allegedly purchased large quantities of pesticide using stolen credit and debit cards.
He would purchase the pesticides from companies in Georgia and Texas, then have them shipped to addresses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey for resale in Philadelphia.
A representative from the FBI’s Detroit office did not know what Colon’s connection to East Lansing is, but Colon also has ties in Philadelphia and Union City, N.J.
He is Hispanic, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, has black hair, brown eyes and light skin. He also has numerous star tattoos on his neck and one on his left cheek near his eye, as well as various other tattoos on both arms, his left leg and throughout his torso.
He has been known to go by the aliases of “Mike” and “Junito.”
Anyone who sees someone fitting this description should contact the FBI’s Detroit office at (313) 965-2323.
