A 48-year-old female university employee reported her laptop stolen between 12:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Oct. 18, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The employee left her black Dell laptop in her office, which is located in the basement of the Plant and Soil Sciences Building, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The laptop — valued at $700 — was left in the desk drawer in the office. The drawer was not locked, but the employee did lock the office door before leaving for the night.
There are no suspects, and the incident is under investigation.
